These Terms govern your use of forgegamesandhobbies.com ("the Site"), online accounts, and related services operated by The Forge Games and Hobbies ("we," "us," "The Forge"). By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

Accounts

You can create a free Forge account to access membership benefits, place online orders, sign up for events, and track your purchase history and store credit. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when you sign up.
• Keep your password secure and not share it with anyone.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Be responsible for activity on your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, please have a parent or guardian review these Terms with you.

The Forge Free Membership

The Forge Free Membership is a no-cost loyalty program. Benefits may include weekly rotating perks, member-only discounts, and partner perks (such as our standing 10% discount at Daily Grind next door). Benefits are subject to change at our discretion and are not redeemable for cash. Specific perk terms (eligibility, redemption window, etc.) are shown in your account dashboard each week.

Orders and payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude taxes unless noted. We collect Virginia sales tax where applicable. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example, if there's a pricing error, a stock issue, or suspected fraud — and will refund any payment in that case.

Payments are processed by Square. By placing an order you also agree to Square's own terms, available at squareup.com/legal.

Shipping and returns

Online orders ship from our store at 3450 Seminole Trail Suite 105, Charlottesville, VA. We aim to ship within two business days of order receipt. Shipping methods, costs, and timelines are shown at checkout.

Returns of new, unopened product are accepted within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price (less shipping). Returns of singles, opened product, and trade-ins are evaluated case-by-case. Defective items received in error will be replaced or refunded at no cost to you.

In-store credit and trade-ins

Trade-in credit and store credit are issued to your Forge account and may be used toward purchases at the shop or online. Credit is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. We may set minimum or maximum trade-in amounts on certain product categories.

Events and tournaments

The Forge hosts in-store events — leagues, tournaments, releases, paint nights, and similar gatherings. By signing up for or attending an event, you agree to follow the published rules for that event and to conduct yourself respectfully toward staff, other players, and the shop. We reserve the right to remove anyone whose behavior disrupts the event, harasses others, or violates our community standards.

Event details (date, time, format, prize structure, fee) are subject to change. If we cancel an event we'll notify registered participants and refund any entry fees paid.

Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or to violate any third party's rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, our systems, or our data.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our infrastructure without prior written permission.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to harvest data, place orders, or impact site performance.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to derive source code from the Site beyond what's permitted by law.
• Misrepresent yourself or impersonate another person.

Intellectual property

The Site, the Forge logo, our store layout, our written content, and our brand assets are owned by The Forge. Product names and images belong to their respective manufacturers and publishers; we display them under standard retail/fair-use practice. You may share screenshots and links to our pages for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Third-party services

The Site uses third-party services including Square (payments), Resend (transactional email), Google Calendar (event sync), Discord and Facebook (event announcements posted to our own channels), and product data providers (TCGplayer, JustTCG, Scryfall) for catalog and pricing. Your interactions with those services are governed by their own terms. Our use of those services is described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work hard to keep it accurate and reliable, we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Product availability, pricing, and event details may change without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Virginia law, The Forge's total liability arising out of your use of the Site or any product or service purchased through it is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product or service in question. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for account holders we'll send notice by email. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Charlottesville, Virginia.
